What We Mean by "Ask Your Infrastructure Anything"
When we say Guardian Pro has an AI assistant, most people picture a chatbot that links to AWS documentation. That is not what we built.
Guardian Pro's AI assistant is connected to your live infrastructure data. When you ask it a question, it queries your actual environment and gives you an answer based on what is really happening -- not what a generic help article says should be happening.
Here is what that looks like in practice.
The Questions Teams Actually Ask
During the beta, we have been watching how teams use the assistant. The questions tend to fall into a few categories:
"What is going on?" -- Teams ask about their overall health score, what the biggest risks are right now, or which services are causing the most issues. The assistant pulls this from live scan data and cost reports, not a cached summary from last week.
"What happens if this breaks?" -- This is one of the most popular questions. You can ask what would happen if a specific resource went down, and the assistant traces the dependencies to show you the blast radius. It is the same failure simulation that runs in the Architecture Advisor, but you can trigger it conversationally.
"Why is this costing so much?" -- Cost questions are surprisingly common. Teams ask about spending trends, why a specific service spiked, or where the biggest savings opportunities are. The assistant queries your cost data and gives you a breakdown.
"Are we compliant?" -- Compliance status across frameworks, which controls are failing, and what needs to be fixed. The assistant pulls live compliance scores and can link you directly to the relevant findings.
"What should I do about this?" -- This is where the action buttons come in. The assistant does not just tell you there is a problem -- it gives you a button to fix it, right there in the chat. Fix a security finding, run a scan, navigate to the relevant page. No copying resource IDs or switching tabs.
It Is Not a Generic Chatbot
The key difference is that the assistant has access to your infrastructure context. When you ask "what are my biggest security risks?", it is not guessing or giving you a generic list. It is looking at your actual scan results, your specific resources, and your real severity levels.
It also understands what you are asking about. If you ask a cost question, it loads your cost data. If you ask about compliance, it pulls your framework scores. You do not need to tell it which module to use -- it figures that out from the question.
And everything streams in real time. You can see what the assistant is doing as it works -- "Checking security findings...", "Analysing cost data..." -- so you are never staring at a blank screen wondering if it is stuck.
Conversations, Not Just Queries
The assistant keeps context across messages. You can ask a broad question, get an overview, and then drill down with follow-ups. "What are my biggest risks?" followed by "Tell me more about the first one" followed by "Fix it" is a natural flow.
It also suggests follow-up questions based on what you asked, which is useful when you are not sure what to look at next. If you ask about your health score, it might suggest looking at the factors dragging it down.
Why This Matters
Most teams we work with do not have a dedicated AWS expert they can tap on the shoulder and ask "is everything okay?" The AI assistant is designed to be that expert -- one that knows your infrastructure, speaks in plain English, and can actually do something about the problems it finds.
It is not a replacement for deep expertise. But for the day-to-day questions that come up -- is this normal, should I worry about this, what does this finding mean -- it removes the need to go searching through documentation or wait for someone more senior to be available.
